Why This Memorial Matters.
Communities are defined by what they choose to honor.
Veterans and first responders put their lives on the line to protect ours — and they deserve more than a handshake and a thank-you. They deserve a permanent, dignified place in the heart of our city.
The Buford Veterans Memorial will serve as a destination for Veterans Day ceremonies, school field trips, family visits, and quiet personal reflection. It will be a landmark that tells every visitor — and every future generation — exactly what kind of community Buford is: one that remembers, one that is grateful, and one that honors its heroes.
How You Can Help!
The Buford Veterans Memorial, sponsored by the National Foundation of Patriotism, a 501 C3 non-profit organization, is actively seeking donations and sponsors.
All donations are tax deductible.

Features of the Memorial
Six Military Branch Monuments
Six granite pillars, each standing 6 feet tall, will represent every branch of the United States Armed Forces: the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, and Space Force. Built to endure, these monuments are a lasting symbol of the courage and commitment of every servicemember who answered the call.
First Responders Obelisk
A striking 10-foot granite obelisk dedicated to the brave men and women who protect and serve our community every single day — Law Enforcement, Fire, Emergency Medical Services, and Search & Rescue. Their heroism may happen closer to home, but it is no less worthy of permanent recognition.
Bronze American Eagle
Soaring above the memorial grounds, an 8-foot wingspan bronze American Eagle stands as a timeless symbol of freedom, strength, and national pride. A centerpiece built to inspire for generations.
The Peace Ball
A powerful and contemplative sculpture representing our nation’s highest and most hard-earned aspiration: peace. Not passive peace — but peace through strength, vigilance, and the sacrifice of those willing to defend it.
